Pointred Telecom is a wireless design and products Company headquartered in Bangalore, India, serving the needs of telecom operators worldwide Pointred focuses its products and design on ISM band pre-WiMAX, TDM radios for back hauling and Mobile WiMAX (rolled out since 2007). The company started in 2000 as Pointred Technologies in Santa Clara. Pointred shifted its headquarters to Bangalore in 2006 when it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Gemini Communication Ltd. Pointred is a Principal member of WiMax forum. Additionally, Pointred Telecom is the only company among mobile WiMAX product companies to have all its Product line WiMAX forum certified. Pointred has clients in more than 45 countries, serving the needs of more than 120 Network operators worldwide with some trial deployments. The company has taken various commercial projects for clients like BSNL in India to set up 400+ Mobile WiMAX base station. Pointred has recorded & reserved sales revenue of more than US$180 million for this fiscal year. About 80% of Pointred’s revenues are generated in India & Africa together, Middle East contributing 5% and while Latin America and the rest of the world account for the remaining 15%.
